There are a lot of wedding blogs out there that only contain 30 or so photos. With a wedding like this, that is impossible! Erin and Nathaniel valued candids over posed images and they created a weekend full of photo worthy moments with their people. They welcomed everyone Friday night with a classic NOLA crawfish boil, then carried on their love of the city with beignets instead of cake on the wedding day. They prioritized time with their guests by attending cocktail hour and let one of their sweet pups crash their first dance. My favorite moment of the day was when I had Erin and her friends lined up for a quick group shot. I ask them to go down the line and say something they loved about Erin. Without hesitation, everyone burst into tears. It was not the reaction I expected, but it shows just how deeply these two are loved by their people. Not only was it a day of moments, it was a showcase of stunning details. Their vendor team was absolutely incredible creating a colorful garden party ceremony and reception. The floral fountain installation was my favorite detail of the night. If you are looking for a NOLA venue to celebrate all weekend long under one roof, I can’t recommend Derbes enough. It is such a charming house and every room is a gorgeous backdrop. This is by far one of my favorite weddings ever and I can’t wait to share their day with you!
