Couples sessions are my favorite. They are great for engagements, but they’re not just for that. Use them to celebrate a new house or job, a new pet, an anniversary, or as a date night away from kids or daily stress to connect and celebrate each other. These sessions are focused on connection. With some light posing, prompts and activities, I want to capture how you interact with each other and what makes the two of you a dream team. Honestly I leave it up to you! If you're like my partner and I, we get rained on regularly and find it to be part of our relationship! If you like the idea of overcoats and snuggling under and umbrella on the way to a cozy coffeeshop, let's make that session happen! But I understand if you are hoping for drier weather. If it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to talk about moving forward or rescheduling.
What happens if it rains?

Always a tough decision, but in short, something you feel good and confident in. Nothing that will require constant fixing, we want you to be focused on each other, not your clothes! For the best photos and clothing pairing, I have some clothing tips in my couples guide. You'll receive it upon booking!
What should we wear?

The sooner the better! Our weekends fill up quickly due to weddings, so I normally have to take couples photos on weekdays. Winter is more flexible, but it's smart to get ahead of the game once wedding season begins in late March.
To reserve your date, I simply need a signed contract and 25% deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
How far in advance should we book?

I hear this from 80% of my couples, it's totally normal! It's not a common situation to be in unless you're Derek Zoolander. The first 15 minutes are always treated as a warm up. With my lighter form of posing and prompts for you two connect, it'll be easy to focus on each other and not on me. I've heard from many people post session that it was way more enjoyable than they expected.
Mindset is also important. Remind yourself why you want these photos! These aren't just for an instagram post but something you can look back on decades from now to remember this special season.
I hate having my photo taken, and I'm super awkward. Is this still for me?
