I typically use this space on my blog to let you know what amazing and hard working vendors helped make the wedding day a great success. It’s a little odd to be typing here to tell you that the only vendor besides me at the wedding was a caterer, and an incredible one at that! How does a perfect wedding like this one manage to flow easily without wedding professionals? An amazing and talented group of loved ones, that’s how. Every detail of this wedding had a personal touch, and that’s why I loved it so much.
Evelyn did her own hair and make up and wore the wedding dress her grandmother and aunt wore on their wedding days. Dan gave her his great-grandmother’s antique 1940’s engagement ring. Evelyn and her friends arranged flowers from the farmers market for bouquets and centerpieces the morning of wedding. They got ready together without worrying about a big unveiling. They both walked down the aisle beside their parents. They listened to bluegrass their family played beside the ceremony in Evelyn’s grandfather’s backyard, and stepped on her grandmothers crystal after they were pronounced husband and wife. Multiple family members made lawn games for guests to enjoy. It was such an intimate, relaxed day, honoring the people they loved. Cornhole, Croquet, delicious farm to table catering, the Horah, and your closest family and friends. What could make a wedding day any better?? So glad these two made a wedding that was truly personal.
